Q: I'm not sure if I understand your ordering system. For example: 5 16mm Lampwork Glass Flower Focal Beads - Aqua $1.99, 5/$7.59. How many beads will I receive for $1.99; for $7.59?

A: Using the above example each set is for 5 16mm beads so you will receive 5 beads for $1.99. If you order 5 sets you will receive 25 beads for $7.59 ($1.52 per set).

If you order 2 sets you will receive 10 beads for $3.98 ($1.99 per set). If you order 6 sets you will receive 30 beads for $9.11 ($1.52 per set). In other words, once you have ordered enough to qualify for the quantity discount rate you will receive that rate for each subsequent set ordered. You do not have to order in multiples of 5 to receive it once you have reached the quantity threshold.

Q: I have a coupon code. Where do I enter it?

Q: I signed up for the Newsletter. Why am I not receiving it?

A: Spam is a big problem when it comes to email. Unfortunately, many types of spam blocking software intended to prevent spam also blocks legitimate email. Many of these types of software allow you to have suspect email sent to a holding area so that you may check for legitimate mail that is being blocked. Ask your provider if this option is available to you.

Another reason you may not be receiving the newsletter is if you spelled your address wrong when entering it. When you signed up for our newsletter you should have received a welcome email. If you did not receive this email either your spam blocker is blocking our newsletter or you inadvertently spelled your email address incorrectly.

Q: Do you sell internationally?

A: Yes! Our international customers make up one quarter of our annual sales. Our international customers are very important to us. However, we reserve the right to refuse PayPal and/or credit card payments for suspect or very large orders from international locations.

Customs Forms will be marked as "other" with the purchase price (does not include postage) as declared value. Please remember that all taxes, duties and customs fees charged by your country are your responsibility.

Q: On the custom's form can you please mark the item as a gift? On the custom's form can you please mark the value as less than what I paid for it?

A: Short Answer-- All custom's forms will be marked properly with the purchase price (does not include postage or insurance) as the declared value.

Long Answer-- Failure to properly complete the custom's form can delay delivery of the item inconveniencing the sender and addressee. Moreover, a false, misleading, or incomplete declaration can result in the seizure or return of the item and/or in criminal or civil penalties. According to U.S. Code: Title 13 : Section 305 any person who knowingly submits false or misleading export information shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $10,000 per violation or imprisonment for not more than 5 years, or both. As much as we would value you as a customer we are not willing to forfeit our livelihood and freedom so you can save a few dollars in custom's fees. All taxes, duties and customs fees charged by your country are your responsibility.

Q: Where is my package?

A: Once we ship the item we have no control over how long it takes to reach you. This is especially true for packages being shipped out of the U.S. It has been our experience that most overseas packages take at least 2-4 weeks to arrive at their destination.

The USPS does not consider a package lost until it has been out at least 20 days for US shipments and 30 days for overseas destinations. At that point we can file a lost and rifling report. If you contact us about your package prior to that time there will be nothing we can do but give you the customs number (if applicable) and ask you to call your local custom's office. Insurance claims (where applicable) for lost packages can not be processed prior to 30 days (40 days for international destinations) from date package was shipped.

Q:Are my online credit card orders secure?

A:Yes. We use secure 128 Bit SSL Encryption to process your order. Furthermore, we do not store your credit card information permanently on the site nor do we print it on your invoices.

Q:Can I phone my order in?

A:Yes. However,we discourage this for several reasons. First we do not keep regular office hours so phone tag is a big problem. Second, we have the great misfortune of being right in the middle of a dead zone so phone service at our location is scratchy, even on a land line. Third and most important, with the upswing in cell phone hacking we can not guarantee the safety of any information that is given out over the airways. Our online processing is completely secure. Please see prior question for details.

Q: Why does some of your materials or photos have The Savvy Woman or The Savvy Woman’s Beading Emporium on it?

A: We did not originally start out as a jewelry and bead supply store. When we started in business, we sold women’s clothing and accessories and we called ourselves The Savvy Woman’s Fashion Corner. Debra, the owner of The Beading Emporium, made many of the beaded jewelry accessories sold. As time progressed, we noticed that while the sales for many of the items we carried were staying flat, sales of the beaded jewelry items were soaring. Therefore, we decided to drop the clothing and accessories line and keep the beaded jewelry. We added beads, and eventually, other jewelry supply items to the mix. However, the name no longer seemed to fit so it morphed into The Savvy Woman's Beading Emporium. It was originally meant to infer that the women who shopped here were ‘savvy’ but many took it to mean that the owner was savvy. I suppose both were true. On the other hand, while not intentional, we left out a whole segment of our customer base, men! Being the old fashioned, traditional sort it did not occur to us that men could enjoy beading as much as women did. That is until we started talking to them and found that at least ¼ of our customer base were men. Since we were building a new store anyway it seemed like a good time to correct our gaffe so we shortened the name to just The Beading Emporium™.
